KOMMUNE

Today I went to 田子坊 (Tian Zi Fang) on Tai Kang Lu, Shanghai's "art street."  As you walk through the narrow lanes of TaiKang Lu you surround yourself with Shikumen houses.  Some of these old houses are still occupied by residents.  And below these houses are a number of art galleries, cute little boutiques, bars and cafe's.  The brick buildings are old and  unrestored, giving it a very authentic feel.   Its like a maze! Almost every time I go there I would visit Kommune, they serve the best chocolate cake in Shanghai.
